Modern Romance
Nathaniel Wojtalik: Feb 2005

In Modern Romance the stage brings reflections of the world like a television screen that persistently changes channels, creating a untidy heap of images. This heap is the emphasis of the work in itself, bringing old associations to bear directly on new experience in a stream of consciousness style. Being in the middle of the technological backlash, we are constantly being bombarded with imagery from television, computers and the excesses of the world. Information pours across our eyes and ears in such enormous amounts that we only comprehend a small fraction.

Where are we going? How are we getting there? Do we still dare to dream?
